AMD Reveals It’s Radeon RX 6000 GPU Design On Twitter-And In Fortnite. American Micro Devices, Inc. is an American multinational semiconductor company based in California. According to Wikipedia, the company develops computer processors and related technologies for business and consumer markets. Initially, the company manufactures it’s own processors, later outsourced its manufacturing, a practice known as going fabless, after GlobalFoundries was spun off in 2009.
However, their products include microprocessors, motherboard chipsets, graphics processors, and embedded processors. It was founded in may 1,1969 by Jerry Sanders. Sanders is an electrical engineer who was the director of marketing at Fairchild, liked lots of Fairchild executives, grown frustrated with the increasing lack of support, opportunity, and flexibility within the company, and decided to leave to start up his own semiconductor company. Robert Noyce, who also left Fairchild together with Gordon Moore and founded the semiconductor company Intel in July 1968.

According to The Verge, AMD’s last batch of the new graphics cards, the mid-range Radeon RX 5700 series, didn’t wow with its designs or high-end performance, however, the new Radeon RX 6000 looks like it could actually be the long-awaited answer to Nvidia’s flagship graphics cards. AMD revealed the design of its a new card on Twitter including it’s triple-fan, giant shroud, and twin 8-pin power connectors show it’s visually ready to play the part.
When you look at the new design you will notice it has a more refined look than it’s previous flagship Radeon VII.
Remarkably, the company is allowing you to check out a full render of the card on its own Fortnite island. Nvidia provided a similar tease for its RTX 3090 design ahead of its recent GPU reveals, and we recently took a longer look at the RTX 3080 design as well.
Moreover, the company should be formerly revealing the RX 6000 series at an event on October 28th, right after the$700 Nvidia RTX 3080 ships but potentially before you buy a $500 RTX 3070, which is also ready to arrive in October. The arrival of the new series is worth waiting to see the kind of performance AMD’s card has up it’s the sleeve. The new GPUs will likely share the same GPU architecture as the PS5 and Xbox Series S and X.
