According to The Verge, below is the full statement

“The Apple app store is designed to be a safe and trusted place for users and a great business opportunity for developers. Epic has been one of the most successful developers on the app store, growing into a multibillion-dollar business that reaches millions of iOS users across the world. We very much want to keep the company as part of the Apple Developer Program (ADP) and their apps on the store. But the problem Epic has created for itself is not that can easily be remedied if they submit an update of their app that reverts it complies with the guidelines they agreed to and which apply to developers.  We won’t make an exception for Epic because we don’t think it’s right to put their business interests ahead of the guide that protects our customers.”

Furthermore, Epic surprise Fortnite update was designed to get around app store guidelines, which demands that developers use the platform owners’ payment systems for in-app purchases of digital goods like V-bucks, giving Google and Apple a 30%. The rules only apply to digital items. which is why you can buy a burger on UberEats or a physical book in the Amazon app with Uber and Amazon handling the payments but you can’t do the same with a kindled ebook or a Fortine skin which makes your character dress up as a burger.

However, due to the Epic’s violation, google and Apple removed Fortnite from the play and app store. After Epic hit back with a prepared lawsuit suing google and Apple for Anticompetitive practices. Apple has given Epic until August 28th to make changes to the system. That’s it for our topic today Apple Tells Epic ‘we won’t make an exception’ For Fortnite.
